Light a Candle
Andrew Richard Brown (Andy) passed away peacefully in hospice care due to complications from late stage lung cancer on January 18th, 2022. He was 78 years old and was surrounded by his loving family in his last days. A native of Syracuse, New York, Andy moved to the San Diego area in the 50’s and ultimately became a resident of El Cajon. A proud Army veteran, he was a member of the VFW and Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Todd, two step-daughters, Christy and Lynette, as well as his 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Andy will be remembered for his service to his country, and his love of photography, trivia and poker. As an accomplished photographer, he captured many cherished memories of his family in film and video.
Above all, his family will cherish his memory as a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. The definition of a family man, he is greatly missed.
